A Russian priest refused to pray for the 'victory of the warriors of Holy Rus'

"I am Archpriest Vadim Perminov from Kuibyshev in the Kainsk Diocese. I testify that throughout the entire time the prayer for 'Holy Rus'' has been recited, I have not read it and do not intend to read it. Guided by the Holy Scriptures, before which I took an oath, and by my conscience, I find it unacceptable for myself to pray for victory in a fratricidal war between Orthodox Christians. In my conviction, I am free and responsible, my word is final and not subject to review," wrote the archpriest in his statement, which served as the reason for his dismissal.

The Antiwar Committee

since the war has begun, hundreds of thousands of Russians left the country. Many of them - into the unknown, without a job and savings. The Antiwar committee has founded a support group for Russian emigrants who are against the military aggression against Ukraine and don't find it possible for themselves to live in Putin's Russia.
