On May 15, 2025, the 2nd Western District Military Court sentenced Elektrostal resident. Sergei Veselov went to 13 years in prison for writing on a bus stop about the losses of the Russian army. The 27-year-old man was found guilty of spreading "fakes" about the Russian army, participation in a terrorist organization, and vandalism motivated by political hatred. According to the investigation, on February 27, 2024, Sergei Veselov wrote the phrase "Losses of the Russian army are approximately 500 thousand killed" with a marker on a bus stop. He was detained in March 2024 and sent to custody. The Elektrostal local institution didn't make claims against Veselov. Veselov said he regretted what he had done. Taking into account all the mitigating circumstances, the prosecutor requested a 13-year sentence.
