Librarian sentenced to five and a half years in prison

The Naryan-Mar City Court sentenced librarian Konstantin Ledkov to five and a half years' imprisonment. The man was charged with repeated propaganda of Nazi symbols, repeated discrediting of the army, and calls for activities against state security. The reasons for the arrest are shouting "Glory to Ukraine, glory to the heroes" twice in a bar in the village of Krasnoye, and the repost of the video "How Nazism was reincarnated in Russia" and a video interview of Ukrainian blogger Volodymyr Zolkin with the Russian pilot who hijacked a helicopter to Ukraine. Previously, Konstantin Ledkov had been repeatedly fined for political reasons, for example, for a picture with the outline of Crimea with the background of the Ukrainian flag colours and the caption: “Crimea is Ukraine” and due to a writing “No war” on the wall of a building on his land.
